The Whiteside County Healthier Communities Partnership (WCHCP) has been in existence since 1996. Over 50 different agencies are involved in “creating a healthier and safer Whiteside County”. In 2021, the WCHCP became a 501 (c) (3) not-for-profit corporation. In 2022, the WCHCP received 2 American Rescue Plan Act grants, from the City of Sterling and the Whiteside County Board. Grant funds have been used to start a comprehensive program on childhood trauma in Whiteside County. To learn more about the Childhood Trauma Project, go to www.childhood-trauma.com.
