The Whiteside County Highway Department is looking for one full-time Highway Maintenance Worker to perform a variety of semi-skilled tasks in the routine maintenance of roads and bridges. Applicant must be able to operate various types of equipment and perform minor repairs. Snow plowing experience is desirable. 

High School diploma or equivalent and a current “A” or “B” CDL license.

Normal work hours are 7:00 A.M. to 3:00 P.M. Monday through Friday with two 20-minute breaks.  Summer work hours are 6:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. Monday through Thursday, approximately May through August.

The starting rate of pay of Highway Maintenance Workers will be $24.53/hour. The position is covered by Teamsters Local Union #722 contract and includes the Whiteside County benefit package.
