GRACE PERIOD REGISTRATION/VOTING
If you missed the October 7, 2014 deadline for voter registration you can still register and vote for the upcoming November 4, 2014 General Election. Grace Period registration and voting begins on October 8, 2014 and runs through November 4, 2014.
Voters who register during the grace period must register in the office of the County Clerk and must cast their ballot that same day. Those people registering during the grace period cannot vote at their polling place on Election Day.
The registration requirements to be eligible to vote:
Must be a citizen of the United States;
Must be at least 18 years old by Election Day;
Must have been a resident of the precinct at least 30 days prior to Election Day.
When registering to vote, two forms of identification are required - one must show the current address of the applicant.
Individuals may register in person during normal office hours (Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.) at the Clerk’s office at Whiteside County Courthouse, 200 E. Knox St., Morrison, IL.
